Surface design, sustainability, creativity & celebration at Domus Clerkenwell Clerkenwell Design Week 2024
What a week!
Domus unveiled the Magic of Colour installation, celebrating ten years of ceramic design by Barber & Osgerby with Mutina. This installation, our three enlightening lunchtime talks, and two celebratory parties were actively supported by the A&D community. Everyone had the time to relax, socialise, and explore all the latest surface design trends in our Clerkenwell showroom, reinforcing our commitment to design and innovation.
Thank You for Joining Us at Clerkenwell Design Week!
Domus thanks everyone who visited throughout the three days of Clerkenwell Design Week. We enjoyed sharing knowledge, exploring trends, and discussing the future of surface design with you all.
'The Magic of Colour' Installation
Domus unveiled a colourful exhibit of vibrant tile designs created by Barber & Osgerby, celebrating a decade of creativity with our brand partner, Mutina.
The Magic of Colour conveys the spirit of experimentation, playfulness, and authenticity that defines the artistic partnership. The installation features a new range, Time, plus fresh pastel-toned colour additions to the historic range, Mews.
Conceived to commemorate a decade of creative collaboration with Mutina, the new range Time presents a soothingly tactile, richly coloured collection of small-format, modular-shaped, through-body porcelain tiles — representing the beauty of weathered surfaces formed over time.
The Magic of Colour showroom installation will remain in situ at Domus Clerkenwell until late 2024 – so if you missed out at CDW, be sure to visit over the coming months.
Sustainable Surfaces – Material Showcase
Visitors to the showroom explored diverse new materials with distinct sustainable characteristics, presenting the latest creative surface solutions that ensure the least environmental impact.
The highlights included Domus' new window installation, the 'La Pietra Compattata Spa' and Engineered Wood and Cork products. It is a beautiful example of how stunning environmentally responsible surfaces can look. Style can harmonise with ecological materials and production.
Lunchtime Design Talk Series
During CDW, we hosted three educational and inspirational lunchtime talks that provided valuable insights into current trends and future directions in surface design.
