Thank You for an Incredible Year Celebrating 2024
2024 has been another landmark year for Domus, and we couldn’t have done it without you! Over the last 12 months we have worked with you, our amazing clients, on some landmark projects; hosted you at our showrooms across the UK; and shared mutual knowledge and industry experience.
Time
We’ve added to our extensive library of products, with Time from British designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, a new collection from Italian manufacturers Mutina which made its debut in May.
Meridian
More product innovation followed in September with the Domus-branded launch of Meridian, a dynamic new patterned porcelain tile collection by designer Lindsey Lang.
Clerkenwell Campus
We pride ourselves on our carefully considered showroom spaces, perfect showcases for inspirational products and venues for engaging events, so we were thrilled when our Clerkenwell Campus was shortlisted for an Architects Journal award earlier in the year, recognition of the detailed work by architects Mailen Design. Well done and thank you to the Mailen Design Team!
Clerkenwell Design Week
We are right at the heart of London’s specification district, physically and spiritually, so our events are always a highlight of Clerkenwell Design Week in May. The A&D community flocked to the showroom every day of the event to network, learn and explore – and also to discover La Pietra Compattata, a new material with impressive sustainable credentials showcased as a striking spa installation in the showroom. These materials have since become a hit with specifiers who are increasingly demanding sustainable accountability from the products they specify. Our partners Colour Hive, the respected creative agency, also presented to a packed Domus showroom with their thoughtful predictions for colours, materials and finishes for 2025.
Battersea Hosting Kitchen
Moving into the autumn, the focus shifted to our southwest London showroom where we were excited to unveil our new Battersea Hosting Kitchen. Brand partners Roundhouse, J Adams & Co, Cameron Design House, and Argile, all thoughtfully contributed under the skilful direction of revered interiors specialist, Designed by Woulfe. Art was also a key part of the concept – a commissioned illustration by Narinder Sagoo as well as the bespoke mural from artist Jan Erika provided the finishing creative touches to the space. This is now the venue for Domus’ new supperclub series, Round the Island – we’re taking our event programme to the next level, welcoming architects and interior designers to relax with us and enjoy engaging and informative hospitality.
Sustainability
When it comes to sustainability and our responsibility towards this beautiful planet, Domus is very conscious of sharing our knowledge with our clients.
Our sustainability CPDs, updated and presented by our in-house expert David Kong, are always well attended. David is also behind Domus’ partnership with the Little Britain Challenge Cup (LBCC) sailing event, coming third in our class this year while continuing to raise money for charity. Domus making a splash yet again!
December 2024 came to an impressive close with a Christmas party for 200 of the UK’s leading interior designers. The BIID chose the Domus Battersea showroom to host the event and we were delighted to welcome so many to explore our space and enjoy an incredible evening of fun and entertainment.
Coming Soon
We’re already looking forward to starting 2025 with a bang on 23 January when we launch the latest collections by International designer Ronan Bouroullec. Ronan will be joining us at our Clerkenwell showroom in conversation with journalist Nick Vinson, discussing his approach to creativity.
