Exploring the sustainability of different hard surface and flooring materials in tandem with project design and aesthetics 

Focusing on materials currently shaping commercial and residential interiors, Domus’ new Sustainable Design CPD explores current and future trends in material and colour, presenting design solutions that ensure the best choices for the future of our planet via a creative, design-focused lens. 

Focusing on hard surface and flooring materials with sustainable characteristics, the 45-minute presentation highlights some key considerations when designing with sustainability in mind, exploring the sustainability credentials of tiles and engineered flooring in tandem with aesthetics and functionality. 

Shining a spotlight on function and performance, the presentation explores how the drive towards a sustainable future has influenced trends and materials across the broader landscape of architecture and design – presenting design choices for walls and floors that guarantee the least environmental impact.

Join us for a live seminar with creative agency Colour Hive, the colour experts behind MIX Magazine. Featuring two diverse stories from their global colour, material and finish forecast for 2025, exploring projected colour palettes, materials and finish directions in an inspiring and insightful presentation.

Respected in the industry for their insightful forecasting and publishing enterprise, Colour Hive has issued design, colour and material forecasts for over 20 years. Intelligently informed by dominant macro drivers, each season sees the launch of four design directions in their in-house publication, MIX Magazine. Incorporating engaging narratives and informed colour palettes, the creative interpretations of big-picture drivers show the directions predicted to emerge aesthetically across surface design.

Consistently pushing the boundaries between industrial design and architecture, the multifaceted nature of their work has led to the creation of entirely new styles which explore notions of scale and composition across inventive colour palettes.
