Meridian — a contemporary porcelain tile range based on a set of three distinct patterns created in collaboration with designer Lindsey Lang.
Meridian Wedge, Spin & Luna
Meridian, a Domus porcelain tile range created with UK/US designer Lindsey Lang. Comprising three distinct pattern layouts – Wedge, Spin and Luna - each comes in a series of carefully selected on-trend colourways. Lang’s signature print designs translate beautifully into tiles with repeating or random patterns that will completely transform any space.
The 20 x 20cm matt finish tiles are all made in Spain, and come with a complimentary set of plains in ten colours.
The designs reflect Lang's signature mid-century style: inspired by the geometry she finds in nature, Lang brings her unique eye for colour and pattern to this range. For over a decade, she has built an impressive reputation in the UK and internationally as a product and textile designer.
All three of the patterns in this range were taken from the geometry of a circle – hence the name ‘Meridian’. As Lindsey explains:
“I seem forever fascinated by the simplicity of the circle and its versatile playfulness in patterns of the natural world. The range is a meticulously curated assembly of patterns that have evolved through my explorations with the circle. Meridian represents two years of careful consideration and work with Domus, so I hope that these patterns grace each room with an uplifting and long-lasting sense of joy.”
Lindsey proudly describes her range, saying:
“I am so excited to reveal the Meridian range. I am constantly fascinated by patterns in the natural world and their versatile playfulness, so exploring the potential of these tile designs and colours has been a creative adventure for me. As time passes, my connection to design becomes more steeped with my appreciation for nature: I am in constant wonder of human nature and our interconnectedness. I hope these tiles bring an uplifting sense of joy to every space.”
About The Designer
Over the last decade Lindsey Lang has designed for some of the leading names in interiors including John Lewis, Formica, the Window Film Company, Made, and Domus of course. Lang was named ‘Young Designer of the Year in 2014’ by Homes & Gardens, just two years after establishing her own studio. Now based in Suffolk, England, she was born in America, and trained as a fine artist in textile design at University of Kansas before moving to England to finish her studies at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
Her career began in the world of graphic design and illustration, but she returned to her roots in textile and pattern design and founded her own London-based studio in 2012. Her work draws inspiration from colour theories, Constructivism, Modernism, Abstract Expressionism and the geometry she finds in nature.
